How does the automatic brake gap adjusting arm work?

When the car is braking, the one-way clutch rotates without driving the worm to rotate, and the adjusting arm does not adjust the gap.
Release the brake. When the rack and the control slip ring monotonically exceed the set value, the control slip ring drives the rack and drive gear when the adjusting arm returns, and rotates the worm to rotate, so that the worm wheel and camshaft rotate by an angle. The gap that becomes larger due to the wear of the friction plate is automatically adjusted.
When there is excessive clearance between the shoe and the brake drum, the camshaft increases the excessive clearance "B" angle during the braking process. At this time, the adjustment arm rotation stroke can be divided into three parts: normal clearance Angle "A", excess clearance angle "B" and elastic angle "C". During the braking process, the automatic adjustment arm can automatically identify these three strokes and adjust only the excess clearance.
